						I asked Japan Car Direct to sell my old Rav4J just before I left Japan in September. Got almost $2,000 total for it, which was amazing. In Japan, there is ZERO resale value for cars. In fact, when I "sold" my old Eunos Roadster (Miyata) to a resale place, the said they were being generous giving me $50 for it. So actually getting a VERY fair price for my old car from JCD definitely put a smile on my face. So thanks for that, guys!

						I used Japan Car Direct to import my R34 Nissan Skyline, I found Scott and his team extremly helpful though out the entire process from the get go... I had always wanted to own an R34 GTR it had been a dream car for me to own ever since I at school. I had always toyed with the idea of Importing a vehicle myself but was always dubious about the process... many companies didn't really want to help or we plain how the process works which wasn't very comforting... until i made contact with Scott @ JCD... He was happy to answer all my questions and querys with swift honest answers.. . And made the whole process extremly hassle free and no put my mind at rest of any worries I had. I can not recommend Scott and his team enough.. they helped me source, purchase and ship my dream car to the UK and I was extremly please with the car I purchased it was far better than I could have expected and was 'as described' I would 100% used JCD again and have already passed my information on to a number of people with regards to the whole process.. so once again Thank you Scott and the JCD I expect to be using your good selves aging in the future =)

No question was too small and no issue too big for them to deal with. 						I purchased / imported some cars from Japan to USA with others before using JCD, so I have a little experience ...Although I am just doing this for fun I have imported 7 cars now. The 3 I bought before going with JCD all had hidden problems. Of course, buying auction cars is always "buyer beware". But with JCD Yoshi always pointed out small details and gave some suggestions before the bidding. He didn't say "no, don't do it" but gave a hint ... ok a few times he definitely said "DON'T" ... but that's what I want and need from someone facilitating this kind of purchase! Communication has always been A+ from Yoshi and JCD. They are on the ball... The fees are reasonable, and while I bet you can get a car to a US port for a few dollars less, I am not sure why you would want to. There are A LOT of misrepresented cars in the Japan auction system. It's thorough in some ways, but you have to know the risks and do what you can to mitigate them. JCD should really be part of that plan, part of understanding what you are going to get before you get it. A couple hundred bucks for inspections or other JCD services could prevent thousands later. I know because I learned the hard way by using others before coming to my senses and using JCD.

						Yesterday I took delivery of my 1995 Subaru Sambar (Kei or "Mini Truck" I could not be happier with the service provided by Japan Car Direct and with the vehicle itself. Mathew was unfailingly kind, patient, and helpful through the process. He helped me to understand more about Sambars specifically and Kei trucks in general, as well as everything from bidding through shipping and customs clearance (though they do not provide that service per se). I cannot tell you how many questions he promptly answered about the process and about specific vehicles I considered purchasing. I highly recommend that anyone who wants to import a car from Japan work with Japan Car Direct.

A couple folks recommended Mathew over at JCD and I very reluctantly reached out. Yeah, I have trust issues. Dude put me at ease and really walked me through the whole process. After a couple months I didn’t end up buying a vehicle, but that’s on me. When I changed my direction, Mathew helped me wrap things up and wished me well. 						I'm giving Mathew and his crew five stars for excellent service, and for delivering what they promised. I am a first-time importer for a van I will use myself (no resale). Mathew took me through the selection process, helped steer me away from potentially bad deals, and communicated regularly once I had selected my vehicle. He took me through the export process, and recommended Armin at EasyISF to help with the import process. I was able to track my van across the ocean, and Armin helped me work through customs clearance up through the day I picked up my tiny van. Sometimes you have to trust people and this time I picked the correct people to trust; both with my funds being wired to Japan and with trusting that Mathew and his crew had my best interests in mind. I am a very satisfied customer and I strongly recommend Japan Car Direct for your import experience. They delivered exactly what they promised.

						It's hard to say anything that hasn't been said from other reviewers! This was my first experience importing a vehicle. Mike Nguyen was super patient with me and my indecisiveness. He was very quick to respond, and very informative on all my questions. He helped my sort through options until landing a 1kz-te Land Cruiser Prado. It ended up being in better condition than I was anticipating, and was able to drive it 5 hours home from port without a single issue. Cannot recommend Japan Car Direct enough!

						I purchased a JDM 2008 Toyota Prius through Japan Car Direct last year. The export agent, Mason, was easy to work with and made the process predictable and straight forward, so there were no surprises or hidden costs with the car itself and with logistics. The logistics supplier that Mason referred to in Vancouver to import the car into Canada was also very helpful and made the process stress free. Mason went above and beyond just facilitating the transaction and sourced new tires, rims, and accessories for the car that the car needed or that didn't come with the car. This was a big help as these parts and accessories for a 2008 Prius were either unavailable in Canada or would have cost an arm and a leg to purchase through a dealership. I was amazed at how good condition the car was in when it arrived. I picked it up in Vancouver and, right off the boat, drove it over 4000km straight to Ontario to get it home without any mechanical issues along the way.

						My experience was so incredible working with Japan Car Direct. It almost didn't feel real, I followed their instructions provided and was in browsing the auction database in no time at all. When I was ready I sent an email and Yoshiro worked with me almost every step of the way. I purchased my car in August and received it in early January due to several holidays over the time and a minor delay with the vehicle (ECM had a leaky capacitor, a shop repaired it and it's been good as new). I 100% suggest these guys any time someone asks about obtaining a vintage JDM car because the service is amazing and as long as you're smart about what you're buying (know how to read the auction repair sheets etc.) the cars are exactly if not better than expected. 						Japan Car Direct has awesome support and always quick in response. Purchased several BMW 330i, BMW 530i, BMW M5, Benz C Class, E Class, AUDI TTS and etc to import into Taiwan. They took care of everything in Japan including export matters as well. It made our importing car business so easy all done through by internet. Wouldn't say it was as easy as purchasing on Amazon, but it sure was great enough for me. They even provided me daily notification of the models I was interested in. This helped me save tons of time from searching every day. 						This is as good as no-sight car buying can get and I 100% recommend using these guys. Take your time, work with them, and you'll get exactly what you want. I was in the market for a Skyline and told Yoshiro what I was looking for ('98 or older, RWD, no rust, no accidents). He asked a few questions to gauge how much I cared about different aspects. I sent them the deposit and got started. From there I used their auction database to find cars I was interested in and I spent about a month looking at different auctions. Many times Yoshiro would discover something about the car I wouldn't have caught that made it a no-go, and his honesty probably saved me from a few lemons. Eventually this R34 closed without meeting reserve, and Yoshiro guided me through the negotiations process (which I was completely unfamiliar with). You only need 1 bank transfer to pay the rest of the fees which simplifies things. After that was done he got the car moved to the shipping yard. This was during peak covid, so of course there were tons of delays getting it onto a ship. Yoshiro provided regular updates, and once it was loaded he immediately sent me all the relevant documents and helped me find a broker to transport it from the port to my house. I'm extremely happy with the car and am super grateful that I had the help I did from the JCD guys to get it. It was honestly way simpler and easier than I thought it was going to be, and I almost prefer it to buying from dealerships!

						Since a kid the FD RX7 has always been a dream car but i didn't pursue it till i graduated high school but the prices just for the shell over here in california was over 15k!! 						After doing a bit of research I settled on using JCD to bid at the Japanese auctions for me and to facilitate the import of my dream car into Australia. Whenever I saw a car of interest, Mason would normally reply within an hour with a short video translating the Japanese auction sheet and additional info he had. They also organised additional inspections and photos at your request before you bid. Once I placed a winning bid, they used a partner shipping company (Dolphin shipping) and transferred all the info to them. From there the shipping company had a few extra questions and shipped my car and sent me an invoice for their services just before the car landed in AUS. These guys are very accessible, friendly and do a great job. Highly recommend. Thanks Mason for a job well done!

						I first stumbled upon Japan Car Direct LLC through their Facebook page and on their website. I plan on writing a full review once my car arrives, but at the current moment I wish I could give them more than a 5/5. First, their website is extremely professional and has all of the information that you could ask for. The coolest part about the entire process is getting access to the auction house by registering with them. You can then see (and get translations) for the cars of your choice! Mathew and Scott providing AMAZING customer service. This being my first time, they answered more than 50 e-mails of my questions, and were always very professional. They did not pressure me to purchase a car either, rather, I gave them my specifications and they worked with me to find the vehicle of my choice. I believe their service charge is more than fair considering they do the bulk of the work for you. No matter what time of day, it seemed like Mat and Scott were there to help! In addition to cars, they can help you find parts, which I will need some for my car! While we did run into some minor issues (like my delaying of payment since they are international, and some [dealer - not Japan Car Direct] translation issues with the dealer we bought the car from), Mat and Scott quickly worked to resolve them. Overall, they are great guys, and I will purchase again from them again. If only they could invent a hoverboard to make the car arrive faster :)

						I purchased three vehicles from auction with Matt, he made it extremely easy and was available whenever I needed him throughout the entire importing process.
