Most people don’t know that Japan is a near paradise for classic cars in fine shape.
Cars like this lovely, and loved, 1965 Mark 2.
The Jaguar Mark 2 embodies the best of British sophistication and classic appeal. You can easily imagine James Bond or Paul McCartney behind the wheel, looking trendy instead of stuffy as they might in a Bentley or Rolls. Even the earliest Jaguar Mark 2s still look fantastic and you can find them among used vehicles available in Japan.
Jaguar Mark 2s come with big engines ranging from 2.5 to 3.8 liters and were very fast in their day, reaching 60mph from a standstill in about 8.5 seconds in the case of 3.8-liter versions. This made them competitive in auto racing in the early 1960s and earned them a reputation as getaway cars. Pretty cool if you ask me.
Japan Car Direct can source a Jaguar Mark 2 or almost any other used Jaguar, like this 2001 Jaguar XJR we purchased through a Japanese used car auction and shipped to a customer overseas.
If you become the proud owner of a Jaguar Mark 2, you’ll find plenty of enthusiastic support from other owners and classic car specialists. Many still consider it the best Jaguar ever built because it so beautifully combines performance, luxury and style. Of course, the interior is gorgeous with luxurious leather seats, a wooden dashboard and all the luxury you could ask for in a classic from the early 1960s.
Japanese tend to take especially good care of their classic cars. They’re practically religious about following recommended maintenance and parts replacement schedules, and you can be sure their vehicles enjoy regular cleaning and waxing. Moreover, Japanese streets are well cared for and never use salt, so the underbody is more likely to be in excellent condition than in many other markets.
When you’re ready to see what is available in the Japanese used car market, contact Japan Car Direct.
