The cars from "Auction" are not in the possession of JapanCarDirect.com. The assessment of the cars is done by the staff employed by the auction house and has no direct connection to JapanCarDirect.com. JapanCarDirect.com’s staff or a professional vehicle evaluator employed by each of the auction houses then does a further hands on inspection before bidding on the vehicle, but we do not offer any warranty or guarantee of vehicle condition, and the buyer purchases at his or her own risk.
If warranty is a critical factor to you for the purchase of a vehicle then this says something about your risk profile, and you may need to reconsider importing directly versus buying something locally that you can see and touch.You need to carefully consider the immediate and usually quite large cost savings of direct importing versus the cost of buying something locally from a dealer just to receive the benefits of a warranty (that you may never require).
We assume that the buyer knows what can and cannot be imported to the destination country. We will not bear responsibility for cars purchased that are not eligible to import.
We assume that buyers are familiar with the regulations concerning import approval and compliance in their own countries. As such, the responsibility to comply and register the car is entirely the buyer’s. We are the experts at the Japan end and can arrange everything to do with the actual car purchase and export from Japan to your country.
Customs, compliance, tax, duty, registration is also entirely the buyer’s responsibility so please make sure you are familiar with all the regulations governing car importing into your country.
You the customer agree to provide JapanCarDirect.com with honest and accurate information in all stages of the car buying process. You also hereby agree that you are of proper age to engage in business dealings by the laws of your home country/province. Providing JapanCarDirect.com with false information or misrepresenting your personal information or status will be held as grounds for cancellation of any business dealings by JapanCarDirect.com.
As a commercial institution JapanCarDirect.com reserves the right to disclose any customer information required by recognized international law enforcement agencies. In the case that JapanCarDirect.com is contacted concerning you the customer by a legitimate law enforcement agency, JapanCarDirect.com reserves the right to cancel any and all business proceedings with you the customer.
JapanCarDirect.com can not be held liable for anything beyond its control. This includes but is not limited to: errors or damage caused by auction houses, transporters, shipping companies and shipping agents; shipping availability and schedules; any costs incurred by the buyer (duty, taxes, etc); mechanical and or electrical failure; corrosion; exchange rates and force majeure (war, strikes, floods, etc).
The full cost of the vehicle must be paid as directed within two working days of notification of a successful purchase along with, freight and insurance charges and costs and fees. Failure to pay to the above schedule may result in the vehicle(s) being resubmitted to auction at the cost of the customer.
If a customer requests a refund before the successful purchase of a vehicle, monies will be returned in full, less the cost of bidding and bank fees.
If any part of these terms and conditions that is not fundamental is found to be illegal or unenforceable, such findings will not affect the validity or enforceability of the remainder of these terms and conditions.
JapanCarDirect.com reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time without notice.
