Step 1 |
Fill in the information request form and submit it to JCD. | JCD sends confirmation of your request and information on making a ¥100,000 deposit for vehicles costing up to ¥500,000. An additional ¥100,000 deposit for each increase of ¥500,000 in the price of the vehicle is required. Get today's exchange rate at www.exchange-rates.org |
Step 2 |
Send your deposit by telegraphic transfer (TT) from your bank to our bank. Sometimes there are delays in the actual transfer of funds, so please fax or scan and email us the TT remittance and we will start to work for you at once. | We e-mail confirmation of receipt of the deposit. At this time, you will be provided with personal access to JCD's customer-only website. JCD inspects all suitable cars at auction each week and posts them on your customer page for inspection. |
Step 3 |
By the day of the auction for a vehicle that you are interested in purchasing, place your bid from your client site before 9:00am, Japan time. (Each deposit allows you one successful bid). | We go to auction, and place bids on the car(s) of your choice. We e-mail you the bidding results. After a successful bid we will also inform you of the total CIF/FOB price. |
Step 4 |
Upon receiving e-mail notification of your successful bid, send the balance by TT within two working days. Fax or scan and email us the remittance order to avoid any delays caused by the banks. | We send confirmation of receipt of the TT and start arranging shippment. We e-mail the shipping schedule and courier you all the necessary documents (Bill of Lading, Customs Invoice, Deregistration Certificate, English Translation of Deregistration Certificate and the Bill of Sale) for receiving the vehicle. |
Step 5 |
You will be notified by the shipping company on the arrival of your vehicle. Pay the appropriate duty, taxes, customs clearance fees and take possession of your vehicle. | |
